The BLECAVATOR is the ideal machine for preparing both small and large areas quickly and economically—only
requiring one man and a tractor to operate. The BLECAVATOR concept is simple. A heavy duty contra-rotating rotor equipped with
special bolt on blades—digs into the ground up to 10” deep on larger models, lifting and throwing the soil, rocks, and stones
(up to approx. 40 mph) against a sorting screen mounted behind the rotor. The screen acts as a rock removal equipment,
directing them into the bottom of the trench. The fine soil which passes through the screen is deposited over the top and
leveled off. To complete the process a rear packer roll firms up the finished areas making them ready for seeding or turfing.
All BLECAVATORS are equipped with heavy duty drive systems to cope with the demanding conditions. The larger models have a 4
speed gear box and side gear drive for greater strength. Over load protection is via a multi-plate clutch assembly. All compact
models have a well proven drive system protected by a pre-set friction type clutch.
A heavy duty rotor hood made from thick steel is formed to a radius shape for strength and durability. All models have adjustable
3 point linkage brackets to cater to the wide range of tractors available on the market. A heavy duty adjustable tine bar screen is
mounted behind the rotor. The screen is made up of high tensile round bars which can be easily positioned to give spacings for all
requirements, conditions, and stone burrier. The tines are protected from large rock damage by the fitting of shock absorbing
spring assemblies,which can be adjusted for tension. On larger models the screen assembly can be raised up via hydraulic rams or a
winch to allow access into the rotor for blade replacement or inspection. The smaller model’s screen is quickly detachable via 2
pins. An adjustable leveling board mounted in front of the rear packer ensures an accurate level finish in all conditions.
BLECAVATORS with there rock removal and stone burrier capabilities are extensively used on golf course sites, turf
farms, sports fields, landscaped areas, private gardens and estates, municipal amenity sites, and many other applications where
quality and reliability is a must.
